TUGAS INGGRIS SINOPSIS FILM THE FAULT IN OUR STARS
Synopsis.
Initially , Hazel, who loved watching reality
shows on TV, didn't really want to follow the support group, because she felt
she wasn't depressed. Until finally Augustus Waters (played by Ansel Elgort),
osteosarcoma sufferers who had to lose one leg and had to use artificial legs,
came to the support group at the invitation of his friend who was threatened
with blindness due to a tumor in the eye named Isaac (played by Nat Wolff).
Augustus was interested in Hazel, he often invited Hazel to come to his house,
from just watching a movie together to exchange reading books. Hazel lent her
favorite novel entitled An Imperial Affliction by Peter Van Houten (played by
Willem Dafoe) to Augustus. Augustus became fond of reading the novel that ended
in the middle of the sentence, and gradually Hazel and Augustus fell in love
with each other.
Finally, Augustus and Hazel tried to film this
about Hazel Grace Lancaster (played by Shailene Woodley), a 17-year-old
teenager with stage 4 thyroid cancer and her cancer also spread to her partner.
Everywhere, Hazel had to carry an oxygen tube carried like a suitcase because
if you said Contact Peter Van
Houten who lives in Amsterdam to find out what happened next to the main
characters in the novel An Imperial Affliction. They also managed to contact
Peter, even Peter invited them to meet him in Amsterdam, and the offer was
received with joy by Augustus and
Hazel.
This story is quite impressive,
there is a scene that I really like, between Hazel and Gus, when they first met
in a motivational group / class. When Gus surprised Hazel by removing the
cigarette and starting to put it in Gus's mouth.
Hazel's expression
was very disappointed in Gus because Hazel was so impressed with Gus at that
time. However, Gus apparently did not turn on the cigarette, it was only a
suggestion that was built by Gus to fight the disease he was in.
"Cigarettes are dangerous, but they will never have power when you don't
give fire to ignite it". Overall, this film is indeed quite good, giving
knowledge to the wider community, that people with cancer or other dangerous
diseases are actually not to be isolated. But how do we treat them better.
They live not with their own choices, but we
are the ones who have to give them a better choice, an opportunity. The story
raised in this film is quite inspiring for me, because not many films that are
circulating today raise the film about minorities. How is the struggle of
minorities, excommunicated, exiled, and so forth
CONVERSATION IN THE FAULT IN OUR
STARS
·
A.W - "I am in love with you.
And I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is
inevitable, and that we're all doomed. And that one day all our labor will be
returned to dust. And I know that the sun will swallow the only earth we will
ever have. And I am in love with you."
·
H.G - "I am mad! I'm mad
because I think you're special. And isn't that enough? You think that the only
way to lead a meaningful life, is for everyone to remember you. For everyone to
love you! Guess what, Gus - this is your life! This is all you get! You get me,
and you get your family and you get this world, and that's it! And if that's
not enough for you, then I'm sorry, but its not nothing. Because I love you.
And I'm going to remember you."
·
H.G - "I fell in love with
him the way you fall asleep: Slowly, and then all at once."
